West Star Aviation announced they have forged an agreement with Hawker Beechcraft Corporation on a partnership for the distribution and installation of the Safe Flight Instrument Corporation AutoPower® System for Pro Line 21-equipped Hawker 800XP, 850XP, 750, 900 and 800XPr models. West Star expects STC approval of the system in the near future.

“I have flown in the proto-type aircraft and I am blown away with the performance and level of safety the AutoPower® system brings to the Hawker” says Rick Brainard, V.P. of Sales at West Star Aviation. “Our current visibility of the STC is mid-to-late October.  Naturally, we are pushing for certification sooner because we want to get this system to our customers as quickly as possible and would like to announce the partnership at the NBAA Convention.”

Under the terms of the agreement with Hawker Beechcraft, all installations for the AutoPower® System will be completed exclusively by either West Star or the Hawker Beechcraft Service facilities.

Safe Flight’s full regime AutoPower® System for the Hawker 800 series will provide continuous thrust management during takeoff, climb, cruise, descent, approach, maneuver, landing and go-around.  Fully integrated with existing avionics displays and controls, AutoPower® delivers smooth and precise speed and power control modes throughout the entire flight profile resulting in improved safety, increased situational awareness, reduced crew workload, greater passenger comfort and increased aircraft value.
