SHELL AEROCLASS MEMBERS DONATE TO CORPORATE ANGEL NETWORK

Aviation Fuels Inc. announced a donation was made on behalf of Shell AeroClass Members, to Corporate Angel Network Monday at NBAA. The $5,000 donation was presented to Peter Fleiss, Executive Director, Corporate Angel Network, at 3:30 p.m. in the Shell exhibitor booth C10235.

Shell AeroClass is a pilot incentive program that allows members to earn points when buying fuel at participating FBOs across the United States. These points can be redeemed for MasterCard gift cards or the points can be donated to the Corporate Angel Network. This year, the large number of members who chose to donate their points led to the $5,000 donation.

“Corporate Angel Network’s sole purpose is to help cancer patients get the best possible treatment for their specific type of cancer by providing free transportation on corporate jets,” says Peter Fleiss, Executive Director, Corporate Angel Network.  “We fly between 250 and 300 cancer patients each month and couldn’t do this without the generosity of many, including Shell AeroClass members.”

Based in White Plains, NY, Corporate Angel Network is the only charitable organization in the United States whose sole mission is to help cancer patients access treatment across the country using empty seats on corporate jets. This not only improves the patients’ chances of survival but at the same time, it reduces their emotional stress, physical discomfort and financial burden. Shell AeroClass Rewards Program was launched in March 2010 and has continued to flourish with more and more pilots joining the program every day.  The rewards program is free to join and allows customers to earn points when buying fuel at participating FBOs. To date nearly 200 Shell FBOs are participating in the program across the United States. The earned points can be redeemed for MasterCard gift cards or donated to the Corporate Angel Network.  For more information visit www.shell.com/aeroclass/us or call  888-467-4355.
