December 5, 2017 – West Star Aviation is pleased to announce they have acquired the RAM Air Turbine (RAT) tooling required for the 24-month check on the Legacy 450/500 airframe.
As of November 2017, West Star has completed two 24-month inspections on Legacy 500 aircraft and project increased numbers as their service center capabilities grow.
“We are thrilled to offer on-site availability of the RAT testing equipment without a rental charge to our customers. This will help ensure West Star meets scheduled deliveries and completion dates as well as further enhance our full-service capabilities for Embraer aircraft,” said Bob O’Leary, Embraer Business Development Manager, West Star Aviation.
In addition to the 24-month inspections on Legacy 450 and Legacy 500 aircraft West Star Aviation is able to perform full-scale landing gear maintenance on Embraer Phenom 100 and Phenom 300 models, and offers complete maintenance at their East Alton and Chattanooga facilities.
