West Star is pleased to be recognized for its support of military service members and their families with the Patriotic Employer and Statement of Support award, presented by Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR).

Established in 1972, ESRG recognizes employers that support employee service in the military, specifically the National Guard and Reserves. The organization operates a network of volunteers and 54 field committees across the United States.

This is the first time West Star (GJT) has been recognized for this award. Sean McCracken, a senior avionics tech nominated West Star and the GJT avionics team for their recent support while being deployed for 4 months at the beginning of 2022. West Star typically allows an employee two weeks of PTO, with full benefits while on guard duty. Tyler Gallaher and Jerry Autrey were both recipients of the award at the West Star GJT facility, presented by Lou Brackett of ERSG.
